Now that's a great news for the consumers who couldn't get their hands-on on the all-new Redmi Note. On Tuesday, Xiaomi India announced that the Redmi Note 7 will go on open sale in the country beginning April 17. This means unlike before the Redmi Note 7 now has enough stock and will not go out-of-stock in seconds.
So, it's a great news for the consumers who were looking to buy the Redmi Note 7 but weren't able to. The Redmi Note 7 will be available on Flipkart, Mi.com, Mi Home, and offline stores. Alongside the Redmi Note 7, the Redmi Note 7 Pro will go on flash sale. So, consumers will need to hurry to buy the Pro version of the new Note. In India, the Redmi Note 7 sells for Rs 9,999. This price is for the 3GB RAM model. The 4GB RAM model sells for Rs 11,999.
I recently reviewed the Redmi Note 7 and believe it's the best value-for-money phone available in the under Rs 10,000 price segment. So, should you buy the Redmi Note 7 for Rs 9,999? This is what I mentioned in the review of the Redmi Note 7:
"Go for it, if you want a well-packaged phone under Rs 9,999. The Redmi Note 7 is an obvious choice under Rs 10,000. This price is for the 3GB RAM model. The 4GB RAM version of the phone costs Rs 11,999.
One of the best bits about the Redmi Note 7 is its back camera performance and the all-glass design. The battery life too is impressive. The display is fair for the price, but it could have been better and performance is something I feel Xiaomi need to fine-tune a bit because the hardware is surely there.
But overall, despite some things that could have been better, the Redmi Note 7 is a great value for money under Rs 10,000."
Let's take a quick look at everything that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 offers:
--The Redmi Note 7 comes with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ LTPS display with screen resolution of 1080x2340 pixels and aspect ratio of 19.5:9.
--Both front and back panel is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which adds to the overall look and build quality of the phone. The Redmi phone feels extremely handy and compact in the hands.
--On the hardware front the Redmi Note 7 is powered by 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone comes in two variants -- 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage. Notably, the storage space can be expanded further up to 256GB via microSD card.
--On the rear panel, the Redmi Note 7 includes a primary camera of 12-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture and secondary camera comes with a 2-megapixel sensor for capturing depth shots. Talking about the rear camera this is what I mentioned in the review of the phone:
"I mostly liked the kind of photos that came out of the Note 7, especially the ones clicked outdoors. Most pictures clicked with the 12-megapixel main camera sensor in good lightning turns out to be good with spot-on details and colours. Though there were times, especially under the blazing sun, when the colours turned out to be oversaturated. In most photos I was impressed with the amount of details that this Rs 10,000 phone captured."
--On the front, the Redmi Note 7 includes a 13-megapixel camera and features like AI face unlock, AI smart beauty, AI single shot blur, among others.
--The Redmi Note 7 comes with Type-C support and 3.5mm headphone jack.
--The phone comes with 4000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 support. For the battery performance this is what I said in the review:
"For me, the Redmi Note 7 battery lasts slightly more than a day on a single charge. I used the Note 7 as my primary device for around a week and used it for tasks like chatting on WhatsApp, browsing Facebook, scrolling through Instagram, gaming, sending emails, taking phone calls and other things. In other words, the battery backup of the Note 7 is impressive."
--The Redmi Note 7 similar to the Pro version includes dor drop notch and slimmer bezels on the sides.
--The phone supports face unlock support and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor which is incredibly fast.
